Ream Can Inc

Founded in Vancouver in 2000 with just 50 containers, Ream Can expanded to Calgary in 2005 and sold its 1,000th unit. By 2010, it entered the Toronto market with a 5,000-unit fleet and introduced pristine one-trip containers. In 2015, the company launched a dedicated modification facility in Edmonton, completing its first major government contract for workforce housing. During the 2020 disruptions, it pivoted to essential mobile storage and unveiled a fully online inventory system. Now celebrating 25 years in 2025, Ream Can operates six depots nationwide, has delivered over 25,000 containers, and leads in green initiatives with a solar-powered yard and partnerships in container-based affordable housing.

Begin From 2000

Humble Beginnings on the West Coast

Ream Can Inc was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a single storage yard and a fleet of just 50 used containers. The company’s initial focus was supplying local construction firms and small businesses with affordable, wind- and water-tight storage units. By year’s end, Ream Can had earned a reputation for clean units and straight-talking service.

Ream Can opened its second depot in Calgary, Alberta, bringing container sales and rentals to the booming energy and agricultural sectors. The company crossed a major milestone, selling its 1,000th container. This expansion established the east-west logistics backbone that would define the company’s reach.

The company launched operations in the Greater Toronto Area, marking its entry into Canada’s largest market. Ream Can also introduced “one-trip” containers to its fleet, offering near-new units for clients demanding pristine condition. The container fleet grew to over 5,000 units, serving customers from Halifax to Vancouver Island.
